Job summary

RIMEPRO INC in California seeks an experienced Project Engineer to lead preconstruction and engineering for healthcare construction. This senior role blends detailed estimating with hands-on leadership to set standards, drive accountability, and deliver exceptional project outcomes.

The successful candidate will manage a full bid pipeline from scope review to buyout, guide estimating and engineering practices, and mentor staff while coordinating with clients, architects, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project engineering and estimating experience in commercial or healthcare construction.
• Experience leading or mentoring an estimating or project engineering team.
• Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam or On-Screen Takeoff, Master Builder, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Guide the full bid process from initial scope review through final proposal delivery, ensuring alignment with company standards and client requirements
• Lead conceptual estimating, detailed bid compilation, and post‑bid subcontractor buyouts in alignment with project goals and schedules
• Develop and implement best practices for estimating and project engineering, maintaining consistency and quality across all departmental output
• Prepare and oversee final proposals and budgets, providing strategic guidance and sign‑off for management approval
• Perform and oversee detailed quantity takeoffs, scope of work development, and subcontractor bid analysis across all trades
• Manage preconstruction RFIs to resolve project discrepancies and maintain accurate and complete documentation
• Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of all project information in Procore, Master Builder, and other relevant platforms
• Stay current on market trends, material pricing, and industry best practices to continuously sharpen the firm's competitive positioning
