Job summary

Gordon Highlander is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead our preconstruction efforts for commercial projects in Florida. This leadership role blends technical estimating with client relationship skills and a commitment to developing people.

As Senior Estimator, you will oversee from pursuit to contract award, mentor associates, and collaborate across design, engineering, and operations to deliver accurate, profitable solutions and value engineering.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating and preconstruction.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred but not required.
• Proven experience leading preconstruction efforts on commercial construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead all preconstruction and estimating activities from pursuit through contract award.
• Oversee bidding and coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, trade partners, and vendors.
• Prepare and review conceptual estimates, budgets, quantity takeoffs, and proposals.
• Lead value engineering efforts to maximize project value while maintaining quality and schedule.
• Mentor and develop Associates of Preconstruction.
• Collaborate with Operations for seamless transition from preconstruction to execution.
• Continuously improve estimating processes and systems.
