HRforGrowth is recruiting a Lead Estimator – Commercial Construction for a Pittsburgh, PA area position. The role leads estimating and preconstruction, coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and project teams to deliver accurate bid packages and successful turnovers.

The candidate will review drawings, develop budgets, and implement bid strategies while mentoring junior staff and aligning estimates with project goals and schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial construction estimating is required.
• Ability to lead estimating activities and bid teams.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, labor, and pricing.
• Excellent mathematical and cost-estimating skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete estimating process from pursuit to final bid submission and turnover.
• Review drawings, specifications, contracts, scopes of work, and bid documents.
• Develop conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, and bid packages.
• Create bidding strategies based on scope, market conditions, schedule, and competition.
• Coordinate estimating resources and multi-project bids; mentor junior estimators.
