Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
- 5+ years of estimating experience in construction.
- Advanced math skills; ability to visualize in 2D/3D; risk evaluation understanding.
- High fluency reading plans, specs, and project documents; strong initiative and communication.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication; ability to work in a team; proactive leadership.
Responsibilities
- Quantify material costs, labor hourly costs, and subcontractor buy-outs for assigned projects.
- Lead team in creating proposals and bids.
- Develop bid documents for each project.
- Prepare detailed take-offs.
- Present budgets and value engineering ideas to owner and design team.
- Coordinate with trade partners and manage bid lists.
