The role requires 5+ years in toolmaking within aerospace or precision machining, with strong GD&T, measurement, and problem-solving abilities. Collaboration with Engineering and Quality is essential for high-quality tooling.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
  • 5+ years toolmaking experience in aerospace or precision machining.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T; strong measurement skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture, assemble, modify and repair tooling for aerospace production.
  • Interpret drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to tolerances.
  • Operate manual and CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders, EDM).
  • Inspect finished tools with precision instruments and ensure specs.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production to improve tooling.
  • Maintain tooling inventory and documentation per AS9100.
  • Troubleshoot tooling issues on the shop floor.
