Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Precision Inspector (Starlink) to join our Bastrop, Texas team. You will perform surface plate and CMM inspections on aerospace parts, verify conformance to drawings, and support continuous improvement through Lean initiatives.

The role requires 5+ years in quality inspection, 1+ year in GD&T and blueprint reading, and experience with PC-DMIS on DCC CMMs. Ability to lift 25 lbs and willingness to overtime may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 5+ years of quality inspection experience in a machine shop.
• 1+ years of blueprint reading, shop math and GD&T.
• DCC CMM with PC-DMIS software experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform surface plate work/inspection of machined aerospace parts.
• Inspect supplied product against drawings and specs to verify conformance.
• Perform complex inspections following standardized methods.
• Complete in-process, visual and dimensional inspection of precision machined parts.
• Interact with production to improve products and reduce defects.
• Document non-conformances per procedures and support QMS policies and Lean initiatives.
• Work with PC-DMIS to create, maintain and verify CMM programs.
