Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Quality Inspector (STARSHIELD) to perform surface plate work and inspect aerospace and commercial parts for conformity to drawings. You will participate in in-process inspections, communicate issues, and help drive continuous improvement in a cross-functional, fast-paced setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 2+ years in quality inspection, and GD&T blueprint reading experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 2+ years of quality inspection experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
• 1+ years of experience with blueprint reading and/or GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Complete surface plate work/inspection of machined aerospace and commercial parts.
• Inspect supplied product according to drawings or work orders to verify conformance.
• Perform in-process inspection, visual and/or dimensional inspection of precision machined parts.
• Interact with production to improve products and reduce defects.
• Document non-conformances and support quality management system policies.
