Job summary

Construction Material Testing in the United States seeks a Precast Concrete Inspector II to lead plant quality control for precast and prestressed production, and to perform owner and agency inspections for DOT programs. You will verify prestressing operations and review strength records, and you will sign off on finished products meeting shop drawings and specs.

You will supervise Level I inspectors, maintain PCI and DOT QC records, and advance toward plant quality management.

Qualifications

• PCI Level II certification current with 2+ years in a certified precast plant.
• Knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and state DOT precast specs.
• ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify prestressing operations: strand cert., tensioning, elongation, detensioning, transfer strength.
• Review mix designs, batch tickets, and strength records.
• Accept/reject finished products against specs and shop drawings; disposition repairs.
• Maintain plant QC records for PCI/DOT programs and owner acceptance.
• Supervise Level I inspectors; assign daily coverage and review records.
