Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precast Concrete Inspector II to lead plant quality control for precast and prestressed production, and to conduct owner and agency inspections for DOT and structural precast programs. You will verify prestressing operations and review mix designs, strength records, and finished products while maintaining PCI/DOT records.

Role requires PCI Level II certification and supervisory ability.

Qualifications

• PCI Level II certification required, with 2+ years in a certified precast plant.
• Working knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT precast specifications.
• ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician certification preferred.
• Able to supervise Level I inspectors and coordinate daily coverage.

Responsibilities

• Verify prestressing operations: strand certification, tensioning, elongation and transfer strength.
• Review mix designs, batch tickets and strength records.
• Accept or reject finished products against specs and shop drawings; disposition repairs.
• Maintain plant QC records for PCI/DOT programs; supervise Level I inspectors.
• Assign daily coverage and review inspectors' records.
