Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Precast Concrete Inspector II to lead plant quality control for precast and prestressed production, or perform owner and agency inspections for DOT projects. You will verify prestressing operations, review mix designs and strength records, and accept or reject finished products per specifications.

This role requires PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level II with 2+ years in a certified precast plant, plus knowledge of PCI MNL-116/117 and DOT

Qualifications

• PCI Level II certification and 2+ years in a certified precast or prestressed plant.
• Knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT precast specifications for the state.
• ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician certification preferred.
• Ability to hold production to specification when schedule is tight.

Responsibilities

• Verify prestressing operations: strand certification, tensioning, elongation, detensioning sequence, and transfer strength.
• Review mix designs, batch tickets, and strength records.
• Accept or reject finished products against the specification and shop drawings; disposition repairs.
• Maintain plant QC records for PCI plant certification and DOT/owner acceptance programs.
• Supervise Level I inspectors and assign daily coverage.
