Job summary

Alan is expanding its Pre-Sales team in Belgium to strengthen Enterprise and Public sector sales. We seek aSales engineer with 4+ years in SaaS, strong English, and Dutch or French, based in Belgium. You will lead complex deals, influence product direction, and coordinate cross‑border onboarding and customer success efforts.

You’ll work with Sales, Insurance and Product experts to craft compelling responses, support RFP processes, and drive global playbook adoption across teams.

Qualifications

• You have at least 4+ years of experience working in a SaaS environment.
• Fluent written and verbal communication in English.
• Fluent written and verbal communication in Dutch OR French.
• You are based in Belgium.
• Experience in end-to-end procurement projects with involvement in RFIs, RFQs and RFPs.
• Able to pitch a product transparently without overselling capabilities.
• Able to rapidly identify root causes through active listening and requirements elicitation.
• Assertive and able to handle objections in a complex environment.
• Able to break down complex issues and identify product gaps to define solutions.
• Able to share insights to influence product direction.

Responsibilities

• Master the platform and support Sales with insights, expertise and tools.
• Listen to prospects’ needs and determine how Alan can address them.
• Understand prospects and assess alignment with offerings; participate in RFx submissions.
• Join the customer journey to evangelize services and products.
• Act as voice of the customer feeding the product roadmap.
• Prepare handovers for onboarding and coordinate complex onboardings.
• Collaborate with peers in France to share best practices and build a global playbook.
