Thompson Law LLP seeks a Senior Pre-Litigation Attorney to lead the pre-litigation docket in Dallas, shaping strategy and maximizing settlements without courtroom risk. You will coordinate treatment, valuation, and demand strategy while guiding a team of paralegals and specialists to support clients through post-intake to settlement.

The role emphasizes strategic judgment, strong negotiation, and the ability to manage a high-volume docket while protecting the client’s net.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas with good standing.
• 8+ years of legal experience in personal injury (plaintiff or defense).
• Proven track record in valuing and settling PI cases at full value, including policy-limits.
• Ability to evaluate liability, coverage, and damages and direct case plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead your pre-litigation docket and drive strategy from intake to settlement.
• Gatekeep new cases by evaluating liability, coverage, and damages.
• Direct treatment strategy and guide medical build-up to support the case.
• Own the demand process, test liability, and set settlement parameters.
• Oversee settlement negotiations and determine when to pass to litigation.
• Protect clients' net by overseeing lien resolution and distributions.
• Mentor and supervise the support team and junior attorneys.
• Serve as client advocate and shape firm pre-litigation strategy across offices.
