DLA Piper is seeking a Senior Communications Manager to lead public relations and media strategies that elevate the firm’s profile across practices and markets. You will collaborate with lawyers, Marketing and external agencies to shape messaging and secure opportunities.

You will craft media pitches, briefs, talking points, and press releases, manage journalist relationships, monitor trends, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to support the firm’s growth and reputation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in PR/marketing/communication/journalism or related field.
• 8 years of experience in marketing, PR or similar field.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills for complex legal/business topics.
• Proven ability to build trusted journalist relationships and manage media outreach.

Responsibilities

• Develops and leads PR initiatives to raise the firm's profile for key practices.
• Builds and maintains relationships with journalists and media outlets.
• Provides strategic media counsel to firm leaders and lawyers.
• Develops media pitches, briefings, messages, press releases, and statements.
• Monitors media trends and identifies opportunities and risks.
• Collaborates with external PR agencies to execute campaigns.
• Coordinates with Communications, Marketing, BD, and Digital teams for integrated outreach.
• Contributes to special external communications projects.
