Job summary

Mission North, a strategic communications agency, seeks a Sr. Associate in New York to lead day-to-day client contact, craft proactive campaigns, and coordinate media outreach for technology clients.

You will draft pitches, brief executives, and mentor junior staff while supporting new business efforts and pitches. You will build media relationships, plan tours, and execute campaigns with a focus on AI and enterprise technology companies, contributing to a dynamic culture celebrated for

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of communications or PR experience, preferably with technology companies or related industries.
• Established relationships with technology trade press and business press.
• Experience working with clients; agency background is a plus.
• Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with PR tools such as MuckRack, Lexis, Sysomos, Meltwater, CatchPole, Google Docs and MS Office.
• Willingness to travel to client and new business meetings; travel as needed.
• Experience pitching new business and working with AI and enterprise technology companies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the day-to-day client contact for key programs.
• Conceptualize and drive proactive campaigns and launches.
• Prepare executives and staff media briefings.
• Support new business initiatives and contribute to pitches.
• Delegate tasks and mentor Associates and Account Coordinators.
• Draft pitches, press releases for tier 1-2 media, bylines, and campaigns.
• Plan media/analyst tours and tradeshows; manage media relationships.
• Collaborate with teams to optimize strategies for tech clients.
