The Consultancy PR is a dynamic brand communications practice that blends senior-level execution with a boutique ethos. We seek an Account Manager with 4–5 years of PR experience to support a roster of home/design and luxury lifestyle clients in NYC.

The role emphasizes entrepreneurial spirit, client collaboration, and growth with the firm. Ideal candidates will have strong media networks, excellent writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple campaigns across print and digital outlets.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of PR agency experience with a focus on home/design or lifestyle brands.
• Strong media relationships across national and regional outlets.
• Excellent writing and editing for press materials.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to grow with the firm.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute communication strategies to appropriately position a range of home/design and lifestyle brands in the media marketplace.
• Retain a network of high-level media contacts across print and digital categories, as well as influencers and interior designers.
• Conduct press outreach and secure top-tier media opportunities, including brand/founder profiles and market press coverage.
• Liaise with influencers and like-minded brands for partnerships and/or event opportunities.
• Oversee logistics for targeted press events to support seasonal launches and brand introductions.
• Interface with clients daily as relevant to press opportunities and strategic advisement.
• Lead, review, and provide feedback on press materials such as press releases and bios.
• Provide regular updates on client status to the Vice President.
• Demonstrate prioritization and deadlines management; communicate progress clearly.
• Mentor PR Coordinator and Account Executive on account management and research.
