Job summary

The Consultancy PR is seeking an Account Executive in New York, NY. We are a dynamic brand communications practice serving home/design, architecture, and luxury lifestyle brands.

We look for an entrepreneurial spirit and a minimum of two years in PR to manage media outreach, press events, and client interface. This hybrid role requires two in-office days in NYC and offers strong growth within a boutique agency culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations/Communications or related field.
• Minimum two years of experience at a PR agency.
• Relationships within home/design, lifestyle, fashion media a plus.
• Excellent writing and communications skills; team-oriented.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of PR databases/tools such as Cision, PR Newswire/Businesswire.

Responsibilities

• Execute communication strategies to position home/design and lifestyle brands in the media marketplace.
• Retain a network of media contacts across print and digital outlets, as well as bloggers.
• Create targeted media lists and conduct press outreach for national and regional coverage.
• Research and conduct proactive outreach to bloggers and social media influencers for partnerships.
• Coordinate logistics and manage guest lists for targeted press events.
• Interface with clients daily regarding press opportunities and event management.
• Draft press materials, including press releases and bios.
