Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc. seeks a Senior PPC QA Engineer specialized in Test Automation to design and automate verification of PPC control behavior, software integration, and related electrical-model releases.

The role emphasizes engineering test automation and evidence-based validation rather than manual testing. You will collaborate with control developers, embedded teams, DevOps, and electrical-model engineers to shape verification strategy, implement robust test suites, and maintain regression

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in software QA or systems verification with a strong focus on automated testing.
Experience with MATLAB/Simulink testing, simulation harnesses, or model-based verification.
Proficiency in Python for test orchestration, data analysis, plotting, and report generation.
Proficiency in CI/CD.
Proficiency in programming or scripting to produce and maintain test code and automation tools.
Experience designing test cases from requirements and interface specifications and identifying edge and failure cases.
Background in testing embedded, control, simulation, industrial, or other system-integrated software.
English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

Engage during requirements and design reviews to identify testability gaps and shape verification strategy before implementation
Translate requirements and interface specifications into test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and traceable test cases
Design, implement, and maintain reusable automated test suites and supporting frameworks for PPC control models, software components, interfaces, and regression workflows
Configure and run simulation-based tests using MATLAB/Simulink and relevant electrical models or test environments
Verify expected active/reactive power, voltage/frequency, dispatch, protection-support, and other assigned control responses
Test PPC interfaces to power meters, WTGs, third-party equipment, and BESS controllers against the agreed specification
Assess performance-related behavior, including scan rate, latency, timing, and signal handling, against project acceptance limits
Analyze outputs, signals, logs, and plots; report failures with reproducible steps, relevant configuration, and diagnostic evidence
Verify fixes, maintain regression coverage, and contribute to release-level validation and quality reporting
Maintain regression suites and test results so that model or software changes can be compared across versions
Collaborate with control developers, embedded developers, DevOps, and electrical-model engineers to clarify expected behavior and resolve defects
