Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. is seeking a Senior Powertrain Systems Engineer to oversee quality aspects of the entire powertrain system in Oxnard, CA.

The role emphasizes system analysis, test drives, launches support, and collaboration with German engineering teams. The candidate will lead analysis for drivability issues, participate in project launches, and develop test benches, while coordinating with dealerships and quality managers.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of VW Group powertrain systems.
• International experience and cultural sensitivity.
• Fluency in written and spoken German & English.
• Expert knowledge of calibration tools (Inca, Diagra, CAN OE, CAN Analyzers, CAN Ape).
• Knowledge of Volkswagen Service and Quality structure.

Responsibilities

• System Analysis for customer complaints, emission defects & powertrain issues.
• Attend VW AG test drives to deepen product knowledge.
• Support launches in the US and Canada with system analysis on powertrain systems.
• Develop and monitor technical field fixes, bulletins, and other actions.
• Create test benches and methodologies for powertrain component failures.
