Key responsibilities include preventive maintenance, data logging, emergency response coordination, and ensuring compliance with local codes. A HS diploma and boiler operator training are required, with a focus on safety and reliability in a healthcare facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Boiler Operator learning program.
• Powerplant Operator, Boiler Operator, or Stationary Engineer License as required by local regulations.
• 5 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local plant operations and boiler operation codes.

Responsibilities

• Controls, starts, and shuts down complex facility utility systems, focusing on boiler operation and related plant equipment.
• Manages primary and auxiliary plant machinery including turbines, generators, furnaces, chillers, and pneumatic tube systems.
• Monitors water quality and plant status, performs data logging and emergency coordination as needed.
• Performs preventative maintenance and complex repairs to keep power generating equipment safe and reliable.
• Documents plant status, supports leadership with work assignments, and assists training of team members.
