Job summary

Missouri Baptist Medical Center is seeking a seasoned facilities professional to operate, maintain, and repair the hospital's physical plant systems. The role focuses on safe operation, efficiency, and reliability of mechanical equipment across the campus.

Responsibilities include routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely notification to leadership of any issues that impact hospital operations.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: 5-10 years related field
• Supervisor Experience: No Experience
• Licenses & Certifications: SE - Class 1, HVAC/EPA Refrig

Responsibilities

• Keeps equipment clean and operational. Handles and disposes of hazardous and/or infectious waste properly and practices infection control.
• Operates, repairs, troubleshoots, and maintains all physical plant equipment in compliance with departmental procedures and policies, and applicable compliance, safety, federal, state and local regulations.
• Completes assigned critical and routine equipment preventive maintenance using approved procedures, departmental policies, and manufacturer's specifications.
• Notifies appropriate leadership in the event of equipment malfunction, boiler casualty, or any unforeseen event that negatively impacts the operation of the boiler plant or the hospital steam system.
• Monitors elevators and determines if a repairman needs to be dispatched.
