Job summary

Western States Equipment is seeking a Field Service Technician to support maintenance and repair of power systems and related equipment in Pasco, WA. You will perform PM services, troubleshoot, and communicate with customers and supervisors to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years on power systems, and experience with schematics and safety practices. This role involves driving to client sites and could include overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Associates degree or technical training preferred.
• Minimum of two years experience with power systems equipment.
• Ability to read schematics, troubleshoot, disassemble, assemble, read and interpret mechanical/electrical diagrams.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Minimum of one-year lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English).

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact between the technician team and the on-site contact.
• Direct liaison for the DC Foreman and Supervisor.
• Perform PM activities exactly to client MOP.
• Sign off on client MOP when work is completed.
• Perform scheduled PM services including fluid and filter changes.
• Perform load bank testing per client, state and local specs.
• Identify safety issues during walk-around inspections.
• Use web-based STW, SIS, and ET to obtain machine specs and complete tasks.
• Use SIS effectively and assist with parts orders for repairs.
• Complete factual service reports, load bank reports & inspections daily.
