Cushing Terrell in Spokane, WA is seeking a Senior Power Systems Protection Engineer to lead design, analysis, and implementation of protection schemes for substations, distribution, and industrial facilities. You will guide relay settings, perform studies, and mentor a growing team while expanding the firm’s protection capabilities.

Applicants should have a PE or be eligible, 8+ years of experience, and strong knowledge of NEC/NESC, ETAP, and code compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
8+ years of job-related experience.
Licensed Professional Engineer (or eligibility) in the hiring state.
Advanced knowledge of electrical systems analysis software (ETAP preferred).
Working knowledge of Bluebeam, Outlook, and Microsoft Office.
Experience in electrical substations, distribution, and industrial installations with relevant codes.

Responsabilités

Lead design, analysis, and implementation of protection schemes for substations, distribution systems, and industrial facilities.
Perform system studies, develop protection schemes, coordinate relay settings, and review designs for code compliance.
Serve as technical authority, providing guidance and mentorship to teams.
Help expand and develop the firm's protection capabilities, including building and mentoring a growing team.
Collaborate across disciplines on projects, influencing technical direction and firm strategy.
