Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or higher.
• 8+ years of experience in the field.
• Knowledge of NEC and NESC codes.
• Licensed PE or ability to obtain by comity.
• Advanced knowledge of ETAP or similar software.
• Experience with protection schemes for substations, distribution, and industrial facilities.
• Ability to prepare fee proposals and studies.
• Independent worker or under supervision as needed.
• On-site construction observation and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, analysis, and implementation of protection schemes.
• Perform power system studies and coordination.
• Produce protective relay settings and files.
• Apply NERC-PRC standards to relay coordination and reports.
• Develop protection schemes for substations & industrial installs.
• Coordinate with P&C design teams.
• Maintain knowledge of productivity and quality processes.
• Engineer-in-responsible-charge with technical decisions.
• Develop client relationships and participate in project interviews.
• Conduct project closeout and quality investigations.
