ERCOT in Texas seeks engineers at Engineer 2, Engineer 3, or Senior Engineer levels to support planning and operation of the electric power system. You will work on-site with some remote work within Texas, contributing to reliability and market solutions.

The role involves performing power system analyses, model updates for IBRs, developing automation tools in Python, and communicating findings to ERCOT management and stakeholders. A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is required.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 1–2 years for Engineer 2; 3 years for Engineer 3; 5 years for Senior Engineer in power systems.
• Experience with PSSE/TSAT and dynamic stability analyses preferred.

Mansioni

• Designs and performs steady-state analyses and dynamic contingency analyses using power system simulation models under direction of a senior engineer.
• Runs scenarios and input variations to produce robust results and prepares reports.
• Assists in stability studies and in preparing study reports.
• Reviews stakeholder reports for accuracy and content.
• Typically works independently on assignments and projects.
