Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Senior Failure Analysis Electrical Engineer to lead system-level failure investigations for deployed power systems in Communications and Data Center markets.

The role emphasizes root cause analysis, corrective actions, and reliability improvements through engineering analysis, testing, and field investigations. Collaboration with engineering, quality, manufacturing, services, suppliers, and customers is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of engineering experience in power systems, power electronics, data center infrastructure, or related industries.
• Experience performing root cause analysis and troubleshooting complex electrical systems.
• Experience with laboratory testing and engineering investigation methods.
• Strong technical communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel to customer sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct system-level failure investigations involving power systems, controls, firmware, and electrical hardware.
• Perform root cause analysis using engineering methods and data review.
• Support field investigations through site visits and data collection.
• Develop and execute test plans to reproduce field conditions.
• Communicate technical findings and corrective actions to stakeholders.
• Support customer discussions related to failures and corrective actions.
• Identify recurring failure trends and recommend reliability improvements.
