Job summary

Peak Demand is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead major power system projects from concept to commissioning. The role emphasizes design excellence for medium-voltage systems and mentoring engineering teams across substations and industrial distribution.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in electrical power engineering, strong protection & control expertise, and familiarity with SKM/ETAP/EasyPower. A hybrid work setup and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering with a power systems focus; EIT or PE license preferred.
7+ years in electrical power engineering with substations and distribution systems.
Strong background in protection and control for 15 kV–69 kV systems.
Experience managing complex projects with scope, schedule, and budget.
Hands-on familiarity with power system analysis tools (SKM/ETAP/EasyPower).
Renewables experience (solar, energy storage, or hybrid) a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead design and engineering for medium-voltage systems (15 kV–69 kV).
Perform power system studies: short-circuit, load flow, protection coordination.
Develop layouts, panel schedules, grounding, and lightning protection.
Ensure NEC, NESC, IEEE/ANSI compliance and interconnection standards.
Serve as technical lead from concept through commissioning for projects.
Develop scopes, cost estimates, and schedules with quality plans.
Mentor mid-level and junior engineers and CAD teams on standards.
Create internal tools and workflows to improve efficiency and consistency.
Support proposals, scope development, and strategic account growth.
