Job summary

Arista Networks in Roseville is seeking an experienced Power System Engineer to design and validate multi-kW AC/DC and DC/DC chassis power systems for next-generation networking equipment. You will define, source, and qualify OEM power supplies, and work hands-on in the lab to ensure performance and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• MS in Electrical Engineering with minimum 10 years of experience in power system design.
• Experience with regulatory processes for power supplies in commercial electronics.
• Strong knowledge of AC-DC and DC-DC design and system-level power distribution.
• Experience sourcing power supplies from 100W to 3000W and modular systems up to ~30 kW.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with global vendor teams.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, source, and qualify OEM power supplies for products.
• Hands-on lab work to characterize and validate new power supplies.
• Design and support dual grid and redundant AC/DC power systems.
• Apply power circuit design knowledge to system qualification and testing.
• Write technical reports and communicate issues to diverse audiences.
• Monitor vendor performance and lead projects from concept to production.
• Collaborate with international vendors and cross-functional teams.
