Continuum Associates LLC is a U.S.-based global engineering firm focused on power, energy economics, and strategy. We seek a Power Systems Engineer / Senior Power Systems Engineer to advance transmission, distribution, and renewable integration studies across North America.

The role requires hands-on experience with PSCAD/EMTDC, PSS/E, and programming in Python or similar tools; strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with power system study experience.
• 2+ years for Power Systems Engineer; 6+ years for Senior Power Systems Engineer.
• Experience with North American energy markets in U.S. or Canada.
• Hands-on with at least one major power system package (PSCAD/EMTDC, PSS/E, Simulink, or TARA).
• Programming/data analysis with Python, Excel, or similar tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform power system studies for bulk transmission and distribution planning.
• Support renewable grid integration and reliability assessments.
• Develop and maintain power system models using standard software.
• Prepare engineering reports documenting methodologies and results.
• Mentor junior engineers and support project management across engagements.
