Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Mankato, MN is seeking a Sr. Applications Engineer to drive development of power generation systems.

You will research, design, test components and subsystems, interpret equations, and identify root causes from test data in an international engineering environment. The role focuses on power system development, with responsibilities to specify components, test top-level and sub-systems, size and select designs, review performance, and drive reliability.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's in Automotive/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with 5 years' testing experience, or 9 years in power generation testing.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Willing to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Specify and select subsystems for power designs per guidelines
• Test and validate top-level and sub-system power components
• Contribute to new product design via sizing and selection
• Review and verify product performance during testing
• Assess reliability vs requirements and post-process data into reports
