Job summary

Nexus Engineering Group seeks a Senior Power System Studies Engineer to own analytical studies that keep industrial power systems safe, reliable, and compliant. You will lead studies end-to-end, validate models, and deliver client-ready reports while mentoring junior engineers and shaping Nexus's study methodology.

You will work with ETAP, EasyPower, or SKM, and collaborate across a diverse client base. A PE license or progress toward licensure is preferred; travel to client facilities is

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • 8+ years of experience performing power system studies for industrial clients.
  • Advanced, hands-on proficiency in ETAP, EasyPower or SKM including building and validating models.
  • Deep command of load flow, short-circuit, arc-flash, protective device and relay coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and own power system studies end-to-end — scoping, modeling, analysis, QC, and client-ready reports.
  • Build and validate models in ETAP, EasyPower, or SKM PowerTools.
  • Perform load flow, short-circuit, arc-flash, protective device and relay coordination studies.
  • Mentor junior engineers and develop Nexus study templates and standards.
  • Travel 2–3 times per year to client facilities.
