Job summary

Nexus Engineering Group is seeking a Senior Power System Studies Engineer in the United States to own analytical studies ensuring safe, reliable industrial power systems and compliant practices.

You will lead end-to-end studies, build models in ETAP/EasyPower/SKM, review junior engineers, and shape Nexus’s methodology while interacting with clients.

This hybrid role offers ESOP ownership, leadership opportunities, and a path to principal engineering.

Qualifications

• BS EE required with 8+ years in power system studies for industrial clients.
• Hands-on proficiency with ETAP/EasyPower/SKM and modeling experience.
• Strong written communication and client-facing skills; mentorship ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own power system studies end-to-end, from scoping to client-ready reports.
• Build and validate models in ETAP, EasyPower, or SKM PowerTools as needed.
• Perform load flow, short-circuit, arc-flash, protective device coordination.
• Create relay setting files and coordinate protection schemes.
• Mentor junior engineers and review their studies for quality.
• Develop Nexus study templates and maintain quality standards.
• Travel 2–3 times per year to client facilities.
