Schneider Electric is seeking a remote Senior Power Systems Engineer to join our consulting services team. In this role, you will collaborate with customers, business development managers, project developers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement solutions aligned with end users’ goals. Your expertise in protection controls and automation will be essential in evaluating technical needs and delivering solutions that meet project specifications, scope, schedule, and budget.

Responsibilities include:

1. Providing technical consultation to build trusted relationships with customers.
2. Developing and maintaining high levels of technical and commercial competency for relevant offers.
3. Developing proposals and drafting technical reports.
4. Training and mentoring colleagues.
5. Leading troubleshooting activities to resolve system issues.
6. Collaborating with your manager on professional development plans.

Focus on Power Control and Automation:

1. Gaining expertise across Schneider PCA offerings.
2. Reading, interpreting, and modifying electrical diagrams and schematics.
3. Creating and modifying PLC and HMI programs for Automatic Throwover (ATO) applications.
4. Developing and modifying Sequence of Operations procedures.
5. Implementing solutions for power system issues.
6. Participating in the PCA Community of Practice.
7. Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer with a BSEE or MSEE degree.
8. Experience with power systems or controls engineering, including relays, PLCs, and HMIs.
9. Knowledge of switchgear power automation for gear <38kV.
10. Experience with ATO programming in PLCs or Protective Relays.
11. Protective relay programming and commissioning experience.
12. Understanding of electrical maintenance, testing, power system studies, and electrical distribution design <38kV.
13. Ability to interpret engineering documents, codes, standards, and procedures.
14. Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
