Job summary

Alameda Electrical Distributors in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Power Quotations Specialist II. The role focuses on independently preparing accurate, timely quotations for electrical power distribution, switchgear, and automation products, drawing on deep product knowledge and commercial judgment.

You will manage complex opportunities, coordinate with manufacturers, and support Sales with pricing strategy and competitive positioning. The position offers a hybrid schedule and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5+ years of quotations, estimating, electrical distribution, switchgear, automation, or related field preferred.
• Experience independently managing power/electrical quotation opportunities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Review customer requests and plans to determine project scope and quotation requirements.
• Independently manage standard to complex quotation opportunities and strategy.
• Prepare RFQs and coordinate pricing, technical requirements with manufacturers.
• Evaluate supplier quotations for pricing, scope, lead times, and risk.
• Prepare professional customer proposals with pricing and exclusions.
• Collaborate with Sales and Power team on pricing, margins, and strategy.
• Identify alternates or value-engineered solutions when appropriate.
• Provide advanced product, pricing, and quotation support to Sales and customers.
• Maintain quotation records and handoff of awarded projects.
• Serve as a senior resource to develop team members and improve processes.
