Job summary

i4DM is seeking a Senior Power Apps/Power BI Developer to join our fast-growing, fully remote IT-project consulting team supporting DoD/VA missions. You will design, architect, and lead enterprise-scale Power Platform solutions, deliver dashboards, and guide a cross-functional team through Agile sprints while ensuring accessibility and security compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field.
Minimum of seven years of experience in application development, reporting, or business intelligence.
Minimum of four years of on-the-job experience developing Power Apps.
Minimum of four years of on-the-job experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
Advanced proficiency with DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling for enterprise-scale datasets.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
Experience configuring and managing Power BI data gateways and refresh strategies.
Experience designing row-level security and role-based access models.
Experience with Git version control (e.g., GitHub).
Experience developing Section 508-compliant applications and reports.
Demonstrated experience leading technical work and mentoring other developers.
Minimum three years in an Agile framework.
Ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Military experienced candidates encouraged and eligible for Public Trust security clearance.

Responsibilities

Analyze customer needs and lead the overall design concept with emphasis on performance, usability, architecture, and security.
Design, build, and maintain Power Apps as the UI for a custom Azure-hosted enterprise system.
Lead the design of new Power Apps capabilities and enhancements to existing interfaces.
Architect Power BI data models, reports, and executive dashboards with complex DAX measures and Power Query transformations.
Design reporting at local, regional, and national levels using dashboards and visuals.
Integrate and transform data from MS SQL Server, data warehouses, and external sources with daily refresh.
Own Power BI data gateway configuration and refresh strategies; troubleshoot as needed.
Lead data quality analysis and coordinate remediation with data owners.
Define role-based access and row-level security patterns for apps/reports.
Ensure accessibility per Section 508 requirements and optimize performance for large datasets.
Lead requirements analysis and estimate level of effort; participate in PI Planning and backlog refinement.
Establish source control, branching, and deployments using Git (GitHub); collaborate with stakeholders on designs and architecture.
Support security and Authority to Operate (ATO) activities and perform code/design reviews.
Develop SDLC documentation and mentor junior/mid-level developers.
