Job summary

Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking an Operating Engineer III to support the campus Power Plant, operating and maintaining stationary steam boilers and related equipment to ensure reliable performance. This role requires strong attention to safety, regulatory compliance, and the ability to respond effectively to campus needs and emergencies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating, maintaining and repairing stationary steam boilers and related equipment.
• Must possess a New Jersey Black Seal low-pressure license.
• Valid NJ driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Operate boilers, turbines, motors, pumps, compressors and valves for maximum efficiency.
• Perform tests, readings and recordings of fuel consumption and system performance.
• Add chemicals per requirements and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and accurate logs/records.
• Respond to campus emergencies and assist engineering management as needed.
