Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the design, build, and operation readiness of a full gas turbine power plant. You will own commissioning in the control room during startup and lead field troubleshooting to ensure reliable, continuous operation.

Responsibilities include directing a multi-disciplinary team, managing outages, and coordinating with OEMs on warranties and maintenance. The role requires extensive experience with power plants, leadership, and a bias for action in

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar field.
10+ years of experience in power plant operations, commissioning, or maintenance.
2+ years of project management experience leading operations.
Experience with gas turbine combined-cycle plants and related equipment.

Responsibilities

Lead multi-disciplinary power plant team across gas turbines, HRSG, and balance-of-plant.
Own lifecycle of gas turbine power generation assets from installation to long-term maintenance.
Set technical direction for commissioning and control system testing.
Drive root-cause analysis for turbine trips and outages to prevent recurrence.
Develop and improve operating procedures, startup/shutdown sequences, and playbooks.
Interface with OEMs on warranty issues, LTSA scope, and outages.
