Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Senior Manager to lead a cross-disciplinary power plant team responsible for the design, build and operation of gas turbine power facilities. You will own commissioning in the control room at startup and field troubleshooting, while guiding full lifecycle asset management from installation to long-term maintenance.

You will direct commissioning execution, drive performance analysis, and coordinate with OEMs on outages, warranty, and contract scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in one or more of the following: commissioning, operations, maintenance, or plant engineering roles
• 2+ years of project management experience leading operations
• Experience reading P&IDs and turbine control logic

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a multi-disciplinary power plant team spanning gas turbines, mechanical and electrical balance of plant, controls, and commissioning
• Own the full lifecycle of gas turbine power generation assets — installation, commissioning, startup, operations, and long-term maintenance
• Set technical direction and execution plans for commissioning, including combustion tuning and control system checkout
• Own root-cause analysis and corrective action for turbine trips, outages, and performance degradation
• Establish and improve operating procedures, startup/shutdown sequences, and abnormal operating condition playbooks
• Serve as the interface with OEMs on warranty issues, LTSA scope, outage planning, and technical issues
• Plan, staff, and execute major/minor inspections and outages; own outage cost, duration, and quality of return-to-service
• Drive turbine performance analysis to identify efficiency losses and fund corrective action
• Coordinate across balance-of-plant teams to deliver integrated plant performance
• Own construction-to-operations handoff with EPC contractors
• Develop and own spare parts strategy and maintenance budgets; manage spend
• Hire, coach, and retain engineers and technicians; set performance standards
• Represent the power plant organization to stakeholders and make timely field decisions under pressure
