Dominion Energy in Chesterfield is seeking an experienced chemist to provide advanced technical and analytical support for water, fuel, chemical, and environmental samples at Chesterfield Power Station, with secondary support to Clover Power Station.

You will interpret chemistry data, identify trends, recommend corrective actions, and help ensure regulatory compliance and plant reliability, while mentoring junior staff and delivering clear reports to management.

Formación

• 5+ years of relevant experience in power generation or industrial chemistry
• In‑depth knowledge of analytical chemistry principles and laboratory techniques
• Strong working knowledge of environmental regulations for power station operations
• Ability to review, interpret, and trend chemistry and corrosion data
• Experience calibrating and verifying laboratory and online analytical equipment
• Strong computer skills, including data analysis, databases, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
• Ability to prepare clear, concise technical reports and written documentation
• Strong analytical, deductive reasoning, and problem‑solving skills

Responsabilidades

• Provide advanced technical and analytical chemistry support for water, fuel, chemical, and environmental samples
• Interpret chemistry data, identify adverse trends, and recommend corrective actions to support plant reliability, regulatory compliance, and operational performance
• Develops, implements, and maintains station chemistry programs to meet regulatory requirements
• Evaluates, selects, and improves laboratory methods, techniques, and analytical instrumentation
• Performs calibration, validation, and troubleshooting of advanced laboratory and online analytical equipment
• Maintains chemistry databases, ensures data quality and integrity, and supports QA/QC programs and inspections
• Provides technical guidance, training, and mentoring to lower‑level staff and plant personnel
• Prepares clear technical reports and data visualizations for management
• Conducts special projects or investigations to support station management and chemistry program improvement
