Baringa is seeking an experienced Energy Markets consultant in North America to develop, maintain, and present power market analyses. You will lead modeling workstreams, design scenarios, and ensure high-quality results for developers, investors, and utilities.

The role emphasizes strong technical skills, client communication, and collaboration with leadership to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for energy markets across North America.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in power market modeling, production cost modeling, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of wholesale power markets and power system fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with modeling tools (PLEXOS, PROMOD, AURORA, GridView).

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain North American power market outlooks with data-driven insights.
• Lead power market modeling workstreams, including scenario design and QA.
• Translate client needs into actionable workplans with leadership input.
• Build and maintain modeling datasets, workflows, and automation to improve efficiency.
• Analyze market fundamentals, policy impacts, and investment implications.
• Present findings to clients and senior stakeholders in clear formats.
• Contribute to global Energy Products offerings and thought leadership.
