Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corporation is seeking a Senior Staff Power Engineer to provide technical leadership for power systems in Digital and RF programs. You will decompose requirements, coach junior engineers, and own power test procedures and MIL-STD-704 adherence.

You will design and troubleshoot unit-level power circuits, perform power conversion from AC/DC, and prepare comprehensive program reviews. A DoD Secret clearance is required; US citizenship is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, computer, or system engineering or related discipline, or equivalent with 14+ years, or 12+ years with master’s.
• Proficient in analog circuits and Spice-based modeling.
• Experience with component selection and derating.
• Troubleshooting and root cause analysis of printed wiring boards.
• Proficient with oscilloscopes, multimeters and benchtop power supplies.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance (US Citizenship).

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze and troubleshoot power distribution circuits at circuit card assembly and unit levels.
• Design power circuits and power conversion for AC and DC inputs to meet requirements.
• Decompose system requirements into hardware specs for internal teams and suppliers.
• Mentor junior engineers and support root-cause analysis and recommendations.
• Develop power test procedures and qualification tests, with detailed reports.
• Prepare technical presentations for program reviews and customer briefings.
