Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a senior Level 4 Power Systems Engineer to design, analyze, integrate, and validate electrical power architectures for radar systems. You will lead technical efforts, mentor junior engineers, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, reliability, safety, and cost targets throughout the lifecycle.

The role requires 9+ years of experience or 7 years with a master’s degree, a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, and the ability to obtain DoD

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • 9+ years of professional experience, or 7 years with a master’s degree.
  • Ability to obtain DoD security clearance.
  • Demonstrated expertise in electrical high‑power systems (100 kW+), including AC/DC, DC/DC converters, and inverter/rectifier systems.
  • Experience with conceptual design of AC/DC power distribution, generation, conversion, and energy storage systems.
  • Experience qualifying and releasing electrical products to military standards MIL-STD-461 and/or MIL-STD-1399.
  • Experience analyzing and translating system requirements to support proposals for new business and development of overall power distribution and architecture.
