Job summary

Stanley Consultants in Des Moines, IA, is seeking a Design Manager / Senior Engineer with 15+ years of power generation design experience to lead the design process and coordinate multi-discipline teams.

The role reports to the Project Manager, ensures technical content quality, and drives delivery through proactive planning, scheduling, and QA/QC. ABET-accredited degree required; PE preferred with one-year to obtain licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited four-year college; mechanical, control systems, electrical, structural, or related disciplines.
• 15+ years of relevant power generation design experience.
• Possess PE, or able to obtain PE within 1 year.
• Natural gas power generation experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day activities of the design team and coordinate cross-discipline communications.
• Coordinate schedules and implement the quality control plan.
• Communicate design issues to the Project Manager and assist with client engagement on change management.
• Lead project planning and execution to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
