Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. in San Jose, CA seeks a Staff Power Field Applications Engineer to support the IVR Empower portfolio from initial evaluation to production readiness.

You will translate customer requirements into robust power solutions, lead design-in activities, and provide hands-on engineering support across the full design cycle. The role requires a BSEE (MSEE preferred), 5 years in power FAE with Tier-1 customers, strong PCB and PDN skills, and proficiency with SIMPLIS, OrCAD, Cadence

Qualifications

• BSEE required; MSEE in power electronics preferred.
• 5 years of Power Field Applications Engineering experience with Tier-1 customers.
• 3 years’ experience in DC-DC converter design including component selection and simulation for PMICs and high-current applications.
• Hands-on lab experience and automated measurements for bring-up and characterization of boards.
• Experience with Python for automated testing and prototyping.

Responsibilities

• Support ADI IVR (Empower) portfolio from start to finish and assist in developing customer designs.
• Translate requirements into robust power solutions and guide implementation through design-in and production readiness.
• Engage with customers onsite and virtually to gather requirements and present technical proposals.
• Develop and maintain design collateral (schematics, layout guidance, simulations) using SIMPLIS, OrCAD, and Cadence Allegro.
• Coordinate design reviews, testing, and production readiness for datacenter products.
