Job summary

Mainstream Engineering Corporation in Florida is seeking a Technology Leader – Power Electronics to drive next-generation power conversion technologies for commercial, industrial, and defense applications. You will spearhead architecture, design, and development of high-power electronic systems and shape the technology roadmap.

This leadership role requires mentoring engineers, delivering robust hardware and embedded controls, and collaborating with mechanical, thermal, and manufacturing teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with GPA ≥3.3.
• At least 5 years designing power electronic systems.
• Experience with 100 kW+ power conversion equipment.
• Strong background in VFDs and motor control.
• Experience with analog and digital circuit design.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and testing of high-power converters 1 kW to 150+ kW.
• Drive development of high-speed motor drive systems (10,000–150,000 RPM).
• Develop digital control algorithms and closed-loop strategies for power electronics.
• Lead design and testing of power stages, gate drivers, and sensors with SiC/GaN tech.
• Oversee PCB design and validation across analog and mixed-signal domains.
• Develop embedded control systems using DSPs, MCUs, and FPGA-based architectures.
• Guide projects through full lifecycle from concept to production.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with mechanical/thermal teams.
