Job summary
AMETEK IntelliPower in Irvine, California is seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to design, develop and test high-performance UPS power conversion systems. You will lead cross-functional teams through the full product lifecycle, from concept to production, influencing both new products and upgrades to existing platforms.
You will apply digital/analog control, power electronics, and magnetics expertise to deliver reliable, efficient energy solutions for mission-critical applications in
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in Power Electronics, controls, and on-line dual conversion UPS.
- Experience with Battery Energy Storage systems for back-up UPS power.
- Proficiency with oscilloscope, signal generators, and circuit testing.
- Knowledge of 1-phase and 3-phase PFC, Inverter, DC-DC converters, and power ratings 500W–20kW.
- Legal right to work in the U.S. and access export-controlled information.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance power electronics circuitry for UPS and energy storage.
- Support and improve existing product platforms while driving new development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system-level testing and qualification.
- Integrate new technologies with existing products for enhanced platforms.
- Lead engineering activities through full product lifecycle and documentation.
