Job summary

Infinite Electronics, a leader in high-reliability connectivity and power solutions, seeks a senior electrical engineer to lead power conversion electronics for Battery Back Up and UPS systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
• 8+ years of power electronics hardware design experience in battery backup/UPS or energy storage.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior electrical design authority for power conversion electronics from architecture through production release.
• Design and analyze bidirectional DC-DC converters and topologies (buck/boost, LLC, etc.).
• Develop charging/discharging circuitry for Li-ion, LiFePO4, and lead-acid cells.
• Define protection architecture: OVP/UVP, OCP, AFC, thermal protection.
• Design BMS hardware including AFE, cell monitoring, isolation, and sensing chains.
• Design and validate communications interfaces (CAN/CAN-FD, I2C, SPI, UART, Modbus).
• Own schematic capture, PCB layout direction for high-current/high-voltage stages.
• Perform MTBF, FMEA, and reliability analyses; drive design decisions.
• Benchmark off-the-shelf BBU electronics; document performance and risk.
• Bring up/test prototypes with oscilloscopes, loads, battery cyclers; perform DV/PV tests.
• Collaborate with firmware on control algorithms, telemetry, fault handling.
• Support UL/IEC/UN 38.3 safety qualifications with labs and compliance teams.
• Manage supplier and CM relationships; lead design reviews and second-source strategies.
• Document requirements, designs, analyses, and test results; mentor juniors.
