Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Sr. Power Electronics Engineer for AI Satellites (Starmind) to design, analyze, and test robust power conversion systems for space environments. You will work on high-performance power delivery from 1W to multiple kW, supporting orbital AI compute and energy management.

The role requires 5+ years in power converter development, DC-DC design experience, and magnetics expertise. Strong collaboration with design, test, and production teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in power converter development.
• Experience with DC-DC power converter development.
• Experience with magnetics and design of custom transformers and inductors, including planar magnetics.
• Experience in modeling, simulation, and testing of power electronics.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering expertise in design, analysis, and testing of DC-DC power converters for harsh environments
• Work on electrical power system and sub-system level design trades and develop requirements
• Define and perform electrical power system verification testing and analysis
• Work with multidisciplinary teams of design, test, and production engineers to create new power electronics hardware
