Job summary

SpaceX in Bastrop, TX seeks a Senior Power Electronics Engineer for the Starmind program to design, analyze and test DC-DC power converters and power delivery hardware for spaceborne AI compute.

You will work with design, test and production teams to scope requirements, perform verification, and select topologies and components for high‑reliability power systems operating in harsh environments and radiation‑rich space.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in power converter development.
• Experience with DC-DC converter development.
• Experience with magnetics and design of transformers/inductors, including planar magnetics.
• Experience in modeling, simulation, and testing of power electronics.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering expertise in design, analysis, and testing of DC-DC power converters for harsh environments.
• Work on electrical power system and sub-system level design trades and develop requirements.
• Define and perform electrical power system verification testing and analysis.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of design, test, and production engineers to create new power electronics hardware.
