Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Power Electronics Engineer to join our Baltimore design team. You will contribute to state-of-the-art power supplies and systems for critical military applications, leading power conversion technology initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of hands-on experience (or higher degrees with commensurate experience) in power electronics, simulations, and hardware development, with US citizenship and a Secret clearance being typical

Competenze

Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related field with 5+ years of hands-on power supply design experience.
Preferred: Master’s or PhD with additional experience; active customer or government projects beneficial.
Experience with isolated and non-isolated topologies and control techniques.

Mansioni

Design power supply hardware, including simulation and analysis, schematic development, component selection, and PWB layout.
Conduct technical trade studies to evaluate design options and optimize performance.
Perform worst-case analysis and component stress analysis for reliability.
Provide manufacturing support and resolve production issues.
Develop ATPs and perform initial hardware checkout and testing.
Work in a lab to support hardware development, integration, and production activities.
