Job summary

Eaton’s CTO Corporate Technology Office in Menomonee Falls, WI seeks a Power Electronics Engineering Specialist to lead research and development of power conversion technologies. You will develop and test advanced power conversion concepts and identify market opportunities for new technologies.

You will lead projects with teams across Eaton and external partners, collaborate with national labs and universities, and communicate complex ideas to business leaders and technical colleagues.

Qualifications

• PhD degree in related field from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of industrial or entrepreneurial experience.
• Experience in low and medium voltage power conversion and power systems engineering, with capability to define specs and build/test prototypes.
• Experience with modeling and simulation tools for power converters and power systems.
• Ability to communicate complex technologies to business and technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Create emerging power conversion & power system solutions for industrial, automotive, truck, and aerospace applications.
• Lead and develop technology projects with local and remote teams and external resources.
• Advance power electronics and power system technologies and identify commercialization opportunities.
• Lead global, multi-disciplinary teams and manage task scope and updates to project managers.
• Develop technology roadmaps and engage with Business Divisions, Universities, and National Labs.
